Ametek Motor Kit Dyson DC04 Silver Lime

This is a replacement motor to suit ONLY DC04 models previously fitted with an Ametek motor.

The DC04 Ametek motor was mostly fitted to green and grey DC04 models (without a clutch) and also the lesser-seen DC04i blue and grey models.

The original type of Ametek motor is now long obsolete. What this listing is selling is a good quality alternative Dyson compatible motor, together with our adaptor kit comprising of replacement retaining ring and motor rubbers (second photo). You discard your existing motor rubbers and retaining ring, and fit the kit we send you as a replacement.

One of the many advantages to this conversion is that if you need to replace your motor again in the future, you can simply buy a standard YDK motor instead of this conversion kit. The motor supplied may have an internal suppression and overload thermal cut-out (the photo shows an external one). This makes no difference at all to compatibility or fitting. 

Please remember to order the correct filters when changing your motor as these will need changing at the same time as the motor.

Important condition of sale: Our motors very seldom fail prematurely when fitted by an experienced engineer using fresh filters. Occasionally, amateur fitters try to return them as "faulty" having used a hammer on the shaft. A hammer should NEVER be used on a motor shaft. In the unlikely event of a return being needed, it will be immediately disallowed if there is ANY evidence of a hammer having been used at all.
