This is an exact replica of a 1960s Leeds City Police issue constable’s truncheon.

It is made of Malaysian oak and comes with a lanyard just like the originals. It weighs 290g (10.23 oz) and measures just under 16 inches (a little over 40 cm).

Original wooden police truncheons are now hard to find, as most forces stopped using them in 1994. They usually change hands at antique fairs and auction houses, with prices starting around £80 and often reaching three figures.

For collectors, enthusiasts, preppers, props departments, or anyone who simply wants one, these represent an interesting piece of social history and are very reasonably priced.
