Authentic Russian stainless steel shashlik skewers - professional quality set of four.

These are genuine catering-grade stainless steel skewers manufactured in Russia, packaged as a four-piece set. We import these directly from the Russian factory - they're not rhodium-coated mild steel replicas from China like most sellers stock. Standard skewers available in the UK are typically too thin, causing them to sag like bananas when loaded with meat, resulting in uneven cooking where the centre burns while the ends remain raw. These don't.

These aren't the round "knitting needle" type commonly seen in the UK, where your meat spins uselessly when you attempt to turn them. These feature the authentic flat blade design with twists near the handle loop, allowing exact positioning over your coals. If you're particular about precision, you can cut a small slot in your barbecue edge with a grinder so the twist sits perfectly, enabling you to rotate the skewer with complete control.

The 3mm thickness delivers two advantages: they won't bend under load, and the metal heats through completely, cooking your meat from the inside as well as the outside. This produces faster cooking times, juicier results, and even doneness from end to end - no more burnt middles and raw ends.

As barbecue enthusiasts ourselves, we specifically sourced these for quality - not to meet a low price point or compete with anyone else. We first encountered these skewers cooking shashlik by the Volga River at our family dacha in Russia. After trying various skewers from markets across Russia, Sweden, and Estonia, these were the only ones worth importing. We traced the manufacturing source and now import them directly.

The 55cm blade length makes these ideal for 54cm round Weber barbecues, Napoleon grills, and similar bell-design round barbecues. They also work excellently on box barbecues. People use them with fire pits, too. Load them with chicken, meat, or vegetables, add an onion on the end to secure everything, and you're good to go.

This is the authentic design that's standard throughout Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Many shashlik restaurants across the former Soviet Union use these exact skewers. The traditional method involves resting the skewers across your barbecue rather than laying them on the grill.
